The research has always been an important part of the U of U education. Along with students, faculty, and researchers, the research community of the university also get opportunities for the professional development through the different research activities. Utah supports more than 80 research centres and institutes, all equipped with advanced technologies and equipment. The grants, awards and other funding opportunities are offered to support the research funds.
For undergraduate or graduate admissions, applicants need to submit an online application with the required documentation and other details. Utah’s main campus is located on the east bench of the Salt Lake Valley, just at a distance of 2 miles east of downtown Salt Lake City. It is spread over 1,534 acres of an area.
The campus offers numerous facilities that include a library, computer labs, theatre, bookstore, counseling center, health services, dining, disability services, on-campus and off-campus housing, guest house, writing center, athletics facilities etc.
Utah Students Union cultivates numerous opportunities to serve students with a variety of social, cultural, technical, and recreational activities. It provides them an environment where students are encouraged to show their potential, to explore their passions, to build new interests and to be an active part of Utah community.
Several exhibitions, concerts, performances, sports competitions and other extra-curricular events are organized all through the year. The university sports teams participate in NCAA's Division I and have won many titles as well.
The students from different backgrounds can pursue their education at the U despite their financial circumstances. The students can take benefits of a range of scholarships and financial aid, and achieve their career goals without any financial hurdle. Grants, awards, and work-study program are also offered to the eligible students. Many scholarships are awarded based on the student's economic status.
