University of Technology Sydney, shortly termed as UTS, is a public research university situated in Sydney, Australia. It was founded in 1870 as the Workingman's College, which was later named as the Sydney Technical College in 1882. It got the university status in 1988 and became the University of Technology Sydney.
It is ranked #1 among the young universities in Australia and #8 in the world as per the QS World University Rankings.
