The University of Delhi, a well-known for its excellent teaching and research, was established in 1922. It was just started with three colleges in Delhi - ‘St. Stephen's College’ in 1881, ‘Hindu College’ in 1899 and ‘Ramjas College’ in 1917. The university has coped with the demand and reached the stage where it is now counted in the list of world’s top universities.
