University of Brighton is a public university with campuses in three locations, Brighton, Eastbourne, and Hastings, United Kingdom. It was established in 1858 as the Brighton School of Art with 110 students only. In 1960, Brighton College of Technology was opened in Moulsecoomb. Later in 1970, Brighton School of Art and Brighton College of Technology were merged and became Brighton Polytechnic. The university status was granted in 1992 and its name was changed to the University of Brighton.

Applicants must apply via UCAS for full-time undergraduate courses, while directly for part-time undergraduate courses. On the other hand, for most of the postgraduate courses, direct application is accepted at the university. It has five campuses - three in Brighton, fourth in Eastbourne and fifth in Hastings.

  • ‘Moulsecoomb Campus’, located two miles from Brighton city centre.
  • ‘Grand Parade’, located within the Brighton city centre.
  • ‘Eastbourne’, located 35 minutes along the coast from Brighton.
  • ‘Hastings’, located in the centre of the town.
