Research at DMU is focused on various areas such as arts, design, engineering, health sciences, law, pharmacy, public policy, information technology, humanities etc. The range of research activities is conducted on various aspects of the key issues facing the community, society, and world. The research and innovation support at DMU provides development opportunities to the students, faculty, and researchers at different levels.
The main aim is to promote knowledge exchange activities that work in benefitting the economy and society, locally, nationally and globally.
The applicants for undergraduate courses can apply through UCAS. The international students need to apply through the online portal of the university. The applicants can also download a free application form which must be submitted through an email along with the required documents. To study at DMU, all applicants must meet the entry criteria that must be reviewed thoroughly before making an application.
DMU main campus is located close to Leicester Castle. The campus has several academic, administrative and recreational buildings. The university is dedicated to providing the best education and support in all possible ways. It has a library, laboratories, accommodation, disability support, chaplaincy, health services, counseling services, sports and recreational facilities, and others.
The students can always find something at DMU to enjoy or to participate or to be active beyond the academics. The world-class recreational and leisure facilities enhance students both mentally and physically.
The university has a Leisure Centre which is responsible to give an exciting campus life to the students. It has a swimming pool with poolside sauna, indoor courts, fitness suite, climbing wall, and playfields for various sports activities. The comprehensive fitness classes are also held on the campus.
DMU is committed to helping its students in pursuing their education without the financial hurdles. The variety of scholarships, loans, part-time work, and other funding options are available for undergraduate and postgraduate students if they meet the eligibility criteria.
